February's print edition of The Parliament is out now

From Russia's hybrid war on Europe to the continent's young shifting towards the right of the political spectrum, The Parliament's February edition dives into some of the big issues across the bloc.

This edition of The Parliament marks the publication’s official shift away from organising the magazine around a monthly theme. As we now more forcefully pursue a digital-first strategy, the print product will be a curated compilation of timely features, news analyses, interviews and op-eds that have been published online.

As part of our digital plans, we recently relaunched our weekly newsletter, The Parliament: On Tap, which now offers insightful analysis of crucial EU developments, along with sections on what we’re writing, reading and following in the news. We’ve also greatly expanded our visual presence across social media, including recently launching on Instagram (@theparliamentmagazineeu).

Most excitingly, we now have a talented editorial team in place to drive our coverage forward. William Noah Glucroft, formerly of Deutsche Welle, moved to Brussels last July after 15 years in Berlin to become deputy editor, while also leading the redevelopment of the newsletter.

The publication now has three full-time reporters. Eloise Hardy joined in October after stints at Euronews and Deutsche Welle. Arno Van Rensbergen came on board in November, having worked as a freelance journalist and as the editor-in-chief of Belgium’s TerZake magazine. And just this month, we welcomed Federica Di Sario, who was most recently a climate reporter at Politico.

At the same time, the editorial team assumed responsibility for the magazine’s monthly supplements, bringing them in line with the publication’s journalistic standards. As part of that process, Matt Lynes – who brings with him a wealth of contacts from his time working in the European Parliament – has joined the team as commissioning editor for special projects and opinion.

And last but not least, Roos Döll is leading the development and implementation of our social media and audience-development strategies, while also finding time to report and write.

With this experienced and professional team in place, we’re excited to deepen our coverage in the coming months, bringing you stories from Brussels and around the continent that are central to understanding the EU. And if the start of this year is any indication, we’re going to be quite busy. So stay tuned – and thanks for reading!
