European regional policy Commissioner Corina Crețu graces the cover of this year’s Regional Review, giving us a preview of European Week of Regions and Cities.
This year's conference’s will focus on urban policy, coming on the back of the EU's Urban Agenda launch in May. Crețu explains that, “European Week of Regions and Cities will involve up to 5000 participants in around 120 workshops, debates and networking opportunities from 10 to 13 October”.
We also have Committee of the Regions President Markku Markkula asking whether the EU can "make a difference in tackling Europe's investment gap" by integrating Cohesion policy structural and investment funding with other financial instruments.
With comment and analysis on the key issues of this year's conference from EU policymakers and regional stakeholders, there's something for everyone in our special issue of the Parliament Magazine's Regional Review.
