1. Which person you have worked with has most inspired you in your career, and how?
As a young professional in Romania, I worked with an Austrian investor for nine years who had a great influence on my career. He continues to inspire me. Even as a student, I learned what team work really meant, as well as what a true manager does to inspire and lead his team.
Although I was not employed by this person - I chose to work as a collaborator - he always made me feel like a true partner of the company and from day one, involved me in the development of his business.
During those nine years, we faced various situations, not all of them positive. I can certainly say I was able to learn the most from those difficult moments we overcame together. I learned to develop solidarity and trust among colleagues. I also learned that no matter what, even during the darkest times, there is always a chance to find a solution.
2. What do you do in your free time to relax and unwind?
I spend time with friends, watch football or travel with my wife. Despite a very busy schedule, we try to take any opportunity we can get, however short, to visit and discover as much as possible.
3. What would be the one object you would try and save from your house in the case of a fire (apart from family/friends and pets), and why?
I sometimes think that I don't actually have a house. Home is where I can be with my family and friends. So far this year, for example, I have only spent one weekend at 'home'. I'm not attached to objects, so I would probably do my best to get everyone out of the house.
4. What is the most humbling thing you have experienced in your career?
I am humbled and motivated by every person that trusts me, shares his or her hopes with me and believes in me. I try, in everything that I do, to deliver for them, to make their lives better, one day at a time.
5. What was the most inspirational and influential book you have read and why?
I am very passionate about technology and I believe in progress through innovation. One of the books that has most influenced me is Peter Thiel's 'Zero to One'. I admire entrepreneurs, the ones that create quality jobs and a better future for us all.
