ECR group Chair Syed Kamall has revealed he will vote for the UK to leave the EU in June's Brexit referendum.

In an interview with UK newspaper the Standard, Kamall explained he had, "really struggled" with his decision, but that ultimately EU immigration policies had helped him make up his mind.

"People should be treated equally whether they are from Austria or Australia, from Croatia or the Caribbean, from India or Italy," he said. "Sadly, that’s not possible within the EU."

The Brussels Tory top dog added that he was worried over uncertainties on the EU's future; "The EU will change a lot in five to 10 years - you can't be certain what staying in will look like."

It was previously unclear how Kamall would vote in the referendum, or even if he would announce his position.
