DESCRIPTION
The Covid-19 crisis is now at the centre of almost everyone’s attention. In these troubled times however, it is important not to forget about other health crises that are equally or even more deadly. One of these is listeriosis, a foodborne disease, caused by the Listeria bacteria, that is leading to an increasing number of victims in virtually all EU Member States. It is therefore required to secure options, for example phage technology, that prevent unnecessary further deaths, miscarriages and life-long health problems.
Members of the European Parliament Ms Sarah Wiener (Greens/EFA, AT), Ms Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, FI), and Mr Marc Tarabella (S&D, BE), supported by The Parliament Magazine and the PA International Foundation, welcome you to attend a webinar on ‘Disease Outbreaks and the EU’s precautionary measures: the listeriosis victims’ perspective’ which will take place on Thursday 30 April 2020 at 16:00-17:15 CEST.
