European Parliament

MEP News
Tatjana Ždanoka (LV, NI) has left the Greens-European Free Alliance to become a Non-Attached Member.

European Commission

Directorates-General and Services

Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI)
João Onofre Antas Goncalves replaces Nathalie Sauze-Vandevyver as Director of Directorate F (Outreach, Research and Geographical Indicators) in an acting capacity.

Competition (COMP)
Hans Zenger replaces Pierre Regibeau as Head of Unit (Economic Analysis in Merger, Antitrust and State Aid Cases) who was covering the role in an acting capacity.

Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs (GROW)
Barbara Bonvissuto replaces Fabrice Terrac Head of Unit A3 (Interinstitutional Value Chains) who was covering the role in an acting capacity. Mehdi Hocine replaces Bonvissuto as Head of Unit H2 (Machinery and Equipment).
Luisa Prista is no longer the Head of Department I (Innovation ecosystems, SMP/Entrepreneurship and Consumers).

Interpretation (SCIC)
Bert Van Maele replaces Patricia Lambert as Head of Unit C1 (Corporate Conference Organisation) in an acting capacity.
Francesco Settembri replaces Valerie De Leeuw as Head of Unit C2 (Budget and Financial Management) in an acting capacity.

Trade (TRADE)
Ewa Synowiec leaves her position as Director of Directorate C (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific, Asia (II), Trade and Sustainable Development, Green Deal) to become the new Principal Adviser.

Other EU Institutions and Agencies

AK Public Affairs
Andreas Constantinides and Kevin Vindevogel have launched AK Public Affairs, a boutique consultancy offering strategic level support to organisations that want to shape the EU tech policy agenda. They were both formerly at APCO Worldwide.

European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR)
Annabel Seebohm has been appointed as the new Secretary General and will assume her position in June after completing her term as the Secretary General for the Standing Committee of European Doctors.

European External Action Service (EEAS)
Per Haugaard has been appointed as the new Head of Representation in Denmark. He will replace Stefan Welin at a date that will be determined later.

European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA)
Fabrizio Donatella has been elected as the new Chariman. He was previously the Director of Fisheries Policy Atlantic, North Sea, Baltic and Outermost Regions for the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Directorate-General.

Hungary
Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz Party retained a majority at the Parliamentary Election held on 3 April.

Malta
